On December 5th, 2025, our team had the chance to do something really special. We packed up our booth and headed to Sajoma Latin Fusion in Kissimmee for the annual Christmas Social & Toy Drive. This wasn’t just another networking event for us. It was a chance to give back to the community we serve every day. We got to meet amazing local families, connect with fellow business owners, and help collect toys for kids in need. Here’s how the night went down.

Why We Joined the Christmas Social & Toy Drive This Year

At One Stop Restoration of FL, we’re not just about fixing homes after disasters. We’re about being there for our neighbors. When we heard about this year’s Christmas Social & Toy Drive, we knew we had to be part of it. The event was organized by Mario Romero with GLR Law and supported by CLG and CREMA at Nona, as well as Feed & Fortify. These are groups that genuinely care about the Kissimmee and Orlando communities.

We’ve been serving Central Florida families through water damage, fire damage, and mold situations for years. But helping doesn’t stop when the job is done. Events like this let us show up in a different way. We wanted to be there, meet people face to face, and contribute to something bigger than ourselves.

Meeting Our Kissimmee Neighbors at the Event

Walking into Sajoma Latin Fusion that Friday evening felt like walking into a big family gathering. The restaurant sits right on West Osceola Parkway, and the vibe was warm and welcoming. We set up our booth in the parking area alongside other local businesses. Trustco Bank was right next to us, and Apex Roofing had their table set up too.

The Christmas Social & Toy Drive brought out so many friendly faces. Parents came with their kids. Business owners mingled with residents. Everyone was there for the same reason. We wanted to celebrate the holiday season while helping local children. The complimentary appetizers didn’t hurt either.

Local Businesses Coming Together for a Good Cause

One thing that really stood out was seeing how many local businesses showed up. Looking at the sponsor list, you could see representation from all kinds of industries. There were insurance agents, title companies, marketing firms, and home service providers like us. Here are just a few of the businesses that supported the event:

It felt good knowing that so many companies share our values. When local businesses come together like this, the whole community benefits. The Christmas Social & Toy Drive proved that Kissimmee has a strong network of caring professionals.

How the Christmas Social & Toy Drive Helps Local Kids

The main purpose of the evening was simple. Bring a new, unwrapped toy and help make a child’s holiday brighter. Admission to the event was free as long as you brought a toy donation. These gifts were specifically meant for elementary school children in the area. Feed & Fortify Community Organization was the nonprofit that collected and distributing the toys.

We’ve seen firsthand how tough times can hit families unexpectedly. A house fire or flood can turn everything upside down in minutes. Knowing that some families struggle during the holidays makes events like this so important. Every single toy donated at the Christmas Social & Toy Drive went to a local kid who needed it.

The Power of a Simple Toy Donation

You might think one toy doesn’t make a big difference. But when dozens of businesses and hundreds of attendees each bring something, it adds up fast. The collection area was full of wrapped boxes, dolls, action figures, and games by the end of the night. It was honestly moving to see.

Our team at One Stop Restoration of FL brought several toys to contribute. We wanted to do our part. Watching other families drop off their donations reminded us why community matters so much. A simple gift can bring so much joy to a child during the holidays.

Our Night at Sajoma Latin Fusion

Sajoma Latin Fusion was the perfect spot for this gathering. The restaurant had a great atmosphere with festive decorations everywhere. Inside, you could see holiday lights and hear music playing. Outside, the booth area buzzed with conversation and laughter. The food was delicious too.

We spent the evening talking with attendees about what we do at One Stop Restoration of FL. Many people didn’t realize we offer 24/7 emergency services for water and fire damage. Others were surprised to learn we handle mold remediation and full reconstruction. The Christmas Social & Toy Drive gave us a chance to educate our neighbors while enjoying great company.

Networking with Heart at the Christmas Social & Toy Drive

Networking events can sometimes feel transactional. This one didn’t. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. Conversations flowed naturally because we all shared a common goal. We weren’t just exchanging business cards. We were building real relationships.

Meeting other local business owners reminded us that we’re all in this together. When someone’s home floods at 2 AM, they need help fast. Knowing that insurance agents, roofers, and restoration companies all work together makes the recovery process smoother. The Christmas Social & Toy Drive strengthened those connections.

Why Community Events Matter to One Stop Restoration of FL

Being IICRC certified and fully licensed is important for what we do. But credentials only go so far. What really matters is trust. When you call us after a disaster, you’re letting us into your home during a vulnerable time. We take that responsibility seriously.

Showing up at events like the Christmas Social & Toy Drive helps build that trust. Our neighbors get to meet us as real people, not just a company name. They see that we care about the same things they care about. Family, community, and helping others. That’s who we are at One Stop Restoration of FL.
